A sorority is a wonderful way to get involved in campus life and the community. Members gain more than just new friends; they build life-long friendships, form sibling-like bonds, benefit from having a built-in support system, and gain valuable life and leadership skills. Being a part of a sorority offers benefits and opportunities not only during your collegiate years, but throughout your lifetime.

Kappa Beta Gamma’s purpose is to improve our members socially, morally, and intellectually. Our mission is to develop Character, Culture, and Courage, within our members who then carry this throughout all aspects of their life. We promote high ideals of education, social responsibility, Sisterhood, culture, and community in our members. We support the endeavors of our members and are dedicated to giving them the best opportunities for personal and professional development.

Before joining Kappa Beta Gamma, each New Member Candidate is guided through a period of education where they learn the organization's history, morals, ideals, and the responsibilities that accompany being a Kappa Beta Gamma member. The education period consists of 8 units which must be completed in order. The education period allows each member to learn about the organization and the foundation necessary to allow them to hold their membership in high regard.

Each New Member Candidate pays a one-time, non-refundable fee for education. This fee is paid in full upon accepting a bid to join and before beginning education. After completing their education and becoming a full member, each member is responsible for National Dues and Chapter Dues each subsequent semester. National dues are determined by Headquarters and go toward the overall business operating expenses, like insurance, our Greek management systems, accounting services, education, seminars/conventions, and general administration of the Sorority. Chapter Dues go toward their day-to-day operations, are determined by each Chapter’s Membership, and are greatly dependent on the quantity and type of events hosted, and campus fees. Many of our members consider our dues to be very affordable in comparison to other Greek organizations, but we always encourage Chapter fundraising throughout the year to decrease the out-of-pocket costs to Chapter members.

Our Sisterhood doesn't stop when your college days have ended. There are loads of opportunities to continue your involvement in the Sorority at the alum level. Our Alumnae Society offers opportunities to become or remain involved at many levels. With professional and social networking, opportunities to give back and support our active members, and development opportunities for our alum and active members alike, you’re sure to find something that piques your interest and gives you a chance to feel a continued connection to our Sorority beyond your college years.
